Cost of Stadium Changes

Changes To An Existing Stadium:

Change wall height=$2,500,000 per 10' per section (lf line, rf line, lf, rf, lc, rc or cf)

Move Wall Distance Out=$350,000 per 10' per section PLUS the cost of decreasing seating capacity ($55,000 per 50 seats removed). 50 seats are removed for every 10' added to wall distance.

Move Wall Distance In=$350,000 per 10' per section PLUS the cost of increasing seating capacity ($85,000 per 50 seats removed). 50 seats are removed for every 10' removed from the wall distance.

Changing seating capacity=$85,000 per 50 seats added; $55,000 per 50 seats removed.

Change surface to turf=$600,000; change to grass=$850,000.



Renovating roof costs:

From Dome to Retractable=$130,000,000

From Dome to Open Air=$50,000,000

From Open Air to Dome=$150,000,000

From Open Air to Retractable=$230,000,000

From Retractable to Dome (why would you want to?)=$75,000,000

From Retractable to Open Air (why would you want to?)=$50,000,000

With a new stadium the additional cost to put on a dome is $130,000,000. The additional cost to put on a retractable roof is $200,000,000.

There is an additional $150,000,000 added to the price of new stadiums (to make up for other items such as property rights, vending stations, etc.)

Publicly financed stadium costs are NOT an option. Teams may finance the costs of the stadiums up to a maximum of 25 years. Interest rates will be determined at the beginning of each season and effective at the end of the season for one year.
